HALIBURTON TRAILS

Trail Conditions

Updated: January 30 , 2012 12 noon

With our excellent base and the new snow that came in large amounts this past week definitely has given the groomers something to work with. Most of the trails have been upgraded to open. The limited and closed trails either have water issues, logging operations or are part of a trail that crosses a lake that has not been staked due to poor ice conditions. We need 30cm ( 12" ) of good ice before we stake a lake. Our groomers were out this past weekend and if the weather holds we will continue to groom. This winter we will be doing some day time grooming, so be aware. Joachim/HCSA/ President

Three local gas stations have closed recently, which will be cause for concern to our riders if they get stranded. The closed stations are in Kinmount, Wilberforce and Gooderham. Carrying extra fuel while travelling in these areas may be the only option.
